Hi Times - Pocket full of...

So, I'm thinking about Bill (of Kill...), and his Han Solo outfit, and his Superhero conversation. Superman is really Kal-el, and Clark is his fake identity. I think there's a point about all the other heroes being their alternate identities as who they really are (e.g., Bruce Wayne really is a surpressed psycho, and Dr. Banner really has suppressed anger issues. Side note: What does that make Superman?) Back to the original point, Superman is, in the German sense of the term, a representation of the best of humanity. The ultimate in not only the physical sense, but in the moral sense as well (truth, justice, & the American way, etc.). He may not be as smart or cunning as Batman (the Luke Skywalker to Han Solo), but he is the "hero" of the Justice League. So if he represents all of that for humanity, what does Kryptonite represent?? It turns him back to ordinary Clark Kent. Ordinary. It never really comes close to killing him. It really just makes him the weakest of the weak. It is almost a cancer (like from the Red Sun, which was deep for Siegel in the 30's). Just an open ended question...
